This trip is exceptionally open to families, but children must be able to hike (and obviously won't be able to drink champagne if they are under 18). Sandrine, the champagne producer, might rent a bouncy castle for the day to keep the younger children entertained while the parents sip their champagne.
Program for the day
8:00: Rendez-vous in Paris outside Trocadero metro station, at the corner of avenue Paul Doumer
8:15: Departure by minivan from Paris, introduction to Champagne (history of the region, and appelation (method, grape varieties, styles) during the journey
10:00: Arrival at Champagne Veuve Olivier et Fils in Trelou-sur-Marne
10:00-12:00: Sandrine Olivier will guide us on a 10km hike through the vineyards and along the river Marne. She will take us to a vantage point where we will have a glass of champagne.
12:00-15:00: Picnic on the grounds of the winery (in the cellars in case of rain). Sandrine will provide the champagne, but you must bring your own picnic lunch and drinks for your children. Bring a picnic blanket if you have one.
15:00-16:00: Visit of Veuve Olivier et Fils cellars
16:30: Minivan back to Paris
18:00: Arrival in Paris, Trocadero metro station
