If you are an art-lover and a champagne-lover, then don't miss this opportunity to meet Caroline Brun, an artist from Äy who tastes a champagne and paints it, and Charlotte Le Gallais, a producer who grows grapes and makes champagne in Boursault.

 

Together, the 3 of us will host a special workshop delving into all the different elements a winemaker or cellar master can blend to make champagne:

• grape varieties
• single plots or several villages (crus)
• vessels used to make the base or reserve wines (stainless steel, oak, enamel, sandstone, etc.)
• years (hot, cold, perpetual reserve, etc.)

 

Caroline will bring a selection of her paintings that illustrate some of these elements, and explain how and why she paints. We will of course taste one of Charlotte's champagnes and she will explain what guides her choices when blending.

 

We will taste at least 5 champagnes made by women and talk about their differences, from grape to glass. We will pair these champagnes with food and with Caroline's paintings.
