From 8 AM to 6 PM

Location Trelou-sur-Marne

Join us for an exclusive day with one of my favourite champagne producers. She will guide us on a 2 hour hike through the vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne, bring us back to picnic on her estate, then give us a tour of her cellars.

Hike and Picnic in Champagne

Hike and Picnic in Champagne

This trip is exceptionally open to families, but children must be able to hike (and obviously won't be able to drink champagne if they are under 18). Sandrine, the champagne producer, might rent a bouncy castle for the day to keep the younger children entertained while the parents sip their champagne.

Program for the day

8:00: Rendez-vous in Paris outside Trocadero metro station, at the corner of avenue Paul Doumer

8:15: Departure by minivan from Paris, introduction to Champagne (history of the region, and appelation (method, grape varieties, styles) during the journey

10:00: Arrival at Champagne Veuve Olivier et Fils in Trelou-sur-Marne

10:00-12:00: Sandrine Olivier will guide us on a 10km hike through the vineyards and along the river Marne. She will take us to a vantage point where we will have a glass of champagne.

12:00-15:00: Picnic on the grounds of the winery (in the cellars in case of rain). Sandrine will provide the champagne, but you must bring your own picnic lunch and drinks for your children. Bring a picnic blanket if you have one.

15:00-16:00: Visit of Veuve Olivier et Fils cellars

16:30: Minivan back to Paris

18:00: Arrival in Paris, Trocadero metro station

Cost: 90€ for adults and 55€ for children
